Hermosa Aesthetics was founded on a passion for nurturing others. With the sole mission of helping our clients embrace and enhance their natural beauty and self-confidence, we provide expert, intentional, and balanced aesthetic services. Hermosa /er’mosa/ is a Latin word used to describe beautiful places, people, and objects. When you speak it, think it, or hear it, not only do you understand the meaning, but you feel it.
Our approach to aesthetic treatments is simple–we do so with an understanding and respect for the natural aging process. It’s important to us to help you look and feel your best at any age, and we want you to love and give love to your skin. We want you to do a double-take when you look in the mirror because what you see is that good.

Dr. Kevin Smith is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He now works as a Hospitalist at a local hospital.
As a San Diego native, when Kevin is not at the hospital or Hermosa Aesthetics, you can find him hiking the local trails, surfing Encinitas’ waves, and enjoying all of the beauty that Southern California has to offer.

Wendy is a family medicine Nurse Practitioner passionate about aesthetics, skincare, and connecting with people. Propelled by her love for all things skin, facial rejuvenation, and attention to detail, Wendy became an aesthetic medicine provider in 2016 after eight years of experience as an ICU Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
With her sights set on providing an unforgettable aesthetic experience, building strong client relationships, and continuously refining her craft, Hermosa Aesthetics was founded as a space for her clients to feel relaxed, confident, and beautiful.
Wendy is certified in injectables such as Botox, Juvederm, Kybella, Restylane, and Dysport. She also provides skin treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, and Sculptra.
When Wendy is not in the office, you can find her camping, hiking, and exploring local eateries with Dr. Kevin Smith.
